Malad City

Education

The Malad school system offers the highest quality of education available. This is attained through a variety of grants and contributions by local businesses and residents, as well as through organizations such as the Oneida Education Foundation.

Malad’s schools provide highly qualified and dedicated teachers. As a small community, there are so many educational advantages offered to students to help prepare them for their future.

The Oneida School District is comprised of four schools:

  • Malad Elementary School
  • Malad Middle School
  • Malad High School
  • Stone Elementary

Malad High School is equipped with computer labs, a distance learning center, a technical training lab, and a multimedia editing lab. Through the distance learning center, students can take advanced level courses, gain college credits, or take special courses not offered at the high school. The distance learning facility is also used by members of the community to further enhance their skills. Technical education is also provided by the high school with a number of professional-technical programs to provide students with an opportunity to learn workforce skills – a hands-on/real-world learning experience.

There is also a virtual school – Idaho Home Learning Academy for grades K-12.

Bear River Head Start provides a preschool for children ages 3-5 years old; Early Head Start serves pregnant women and children 0-3.
