Why is the OEF needed?
Don't
taxes support the schools?
Tax dollars only provide the basic
education needs of Oneida County School students. The OEF provides funds
for supplemental materials and equipment that keeps our schools up to date
and our students competitive with those from other districts.
Today's schools are in need of materials that exceed the resources
of local and state tax bases. In order for our children to succeed
we need to provide them with the best education possible.
