Why is the OEF needed?
Don't taxes support the schools?

Tax dollars only provide the basic education needs of Oneida County School students. The OEF provides funds for supplemental materials and equipment that keeps our schools up to date and our students competitive with those from other districts. Today's schools are in need of materials that exceed  the resources of local and state tax bases. In order for our children to succeed we need to provide them with the best education possible.

Benefits of Donating to the OEF

  • Donations to the OEF are Tax deductible.

  •  Individuals and businesses that donate $1000 or more become members of the OEF Heritage Club.  The members are recognized at an annual dinner in their honor, and their names are engraved on a plaque in the MHS Hall of Fame.

  • Anyone who donates any amount to the OEF will receive the OEF Newsletter, which will be coming out yearly.

  • Satisfaction of helping educators provide the best education possible to your child and his or her peers. Donors may consult with the OEF to learn how their contribution was used. Donors may also arrange to meet with teachers who is using the equipment/materials or meet the student who has received a scholarship.
