The Library Board of Trustees and the Staff of the Oneida County Library
District are committed in providing library patrons with the necessary knowledge
they will need for the future. In response to advances in technology and the
changing needs of the community, the Oneida County Library endeavors to develop
collections, resources, and services that meet the cultural, informational,
recreational, and educational needs of the residents of Oneida County.
The Oneida County Library does not monitor and has no control over the
information accessed through the Internet and cannot be held responsible for its
content. Library users access the Internet at their own discretion and they are
solely responsible for any access points they reach.
All Internet resources accessible through the Library are provided equally to
all library users. Those who have existing fines due, will not be
allowed to use the computers until their fines are paid in full.
Parents or guardians, not the Library or its staff,
are responsible for the Internet information selected and/or accessed by their
children. Parents are encouraged to supervise their children's Internet
sessions. The Library will treat information accessed on the computer as
confidential. Requests for disclosure of information will be honored only when
required by local, state or federal law. (Idaho Code 9-340).
